Sonic Battle Retranslated v4 - SHC2025 Edition

INFORMATION:
The "Sonic Battle Retranslated" patch replaces the official English text with Windii's Sonic Battle English retranslations from YouTube and her personal blog, which are more faithful to the Japanese version and has less mistakes and errors than the official localization.

NEW TO VERSION 4:
This is a long time coming, but I finally have JP and EU versions of the ROM patch! I've stumbled upon a process that should make updating the in-game text across all three regional versions of the patch much easier.
But before I did that, I had to make sure that the in-game text had no mistakes as well as used the latest version of Windii's translation. As such, I've scanned through all the story mode dialogue and skill card text from start to finish and proofread the entire thing. This is easily the best version of the game thus far.
I CANNOT stress enough just how much better this version is over the previous ones. There were so many mistakes I made in v3, it's not even funny.
And finally, all location names have been retranslated as well thanks to the updated Sonic Battle Text Editor. You can find this on your save file in the Story Mode menu or on the overworld map when playing story mode. I really wanted this version to be the best one yet, and I think this adds that extra splash of polish.

NOTE: Only the JP version has Japanese voice clips. I planned on making a Japanese audio patch for the US and EU versions, but ran into some trouble. In the meantime, please use the JP version if you want JP audio.

INSTALLATION:
To apply the patch, download Lunar IPS, open it, click on Apply IPS Patch. After that, choose the patch file and a USA (not JP) rom of Sonic Battle. You're done! (If you own a Mac, MultiPatch is an excellent alternative.)

NOTES:
v4.0 (SHC2025 Edition)
- Patches for the JP and EU ROMs are now available!
- All story mode dialogue has been proofread and updated with input from Windii.
- All skill card names and descriptions have been proofread and updated.
- Location names both on the Story Mode save screen and on the map have been retranslated.
- JP ROM ONLY: Certain text graphics have been replaced with their US ROM counterparts. (E.g. “Holly Summit” with “Holy Summit,” “Option” with “Options,” etc.)

v3.0
- All Skill Names and Descriptions have been updated to be based on Windii's retranslations. This is reflected in both the Skill Card graphics and in-game text.
- As such, credit to Sonic Wiki Zone has been removed due to no longer using their Skill Name translations.
- While the test was shortened from Windii's translation due to size constraints, the original meaning has been kept intact as much as possible. Still, I highly recommend reading the translations on Windii's blog:

v2.0
- Removed extra carriage returns which resulted in certain dialogue sequences ending in blank text boxes.
- Added missing carriage returns where they should have been, fixing the issue of certain lines of text running off the edge of the screen (my sincerest apologies).
- MAJORLY fixed any and all issues with Pr. Gerald's journal entries.
- Changed the format of the "Skill Captured" screen dialogue. (BEFORE: "No. 006 "SONIC PUNCH" captured!" AFTER: "#006 "Sonic Punch" captured!"
- Skill names that appear on the "Skill Captured" screen have been retranslated and unabbreviated.
- Said reworked titles are reflected on the skill cards themselves (skill card names are still abbreviated where necessary).
- Cleaned up various text sequences.
- Fixed various errors and typos (made by yours truly)
- Slightly altered a few skill descriptions here and there (still unfinished, as Windii hasn't actually retranslated them yet, but take a peek at Amy's Trap Attacks for instance).

v1.0
- All 8 Chapters of Story Mode feature retranslated English dialogue (courtesy of Windii Gaylord).
- Text in Story Mode dialogue boxes reach the end of the dialogue boxes instead of stopping halfway as in the retail version.
- Skill Card graphics have been edited to have more accurately translated names (courtesy of Sonic Wiki Zone).
- When acquiring a new skill, the message at the bottom of the screen now includes the skill's ID number, just like in the Japanese version.
- In Shadow's episode, when rematching with the other characters, translations of the audio clips that play before each match are displayed in-between asterisks (e.g. *All right, I'll do my best!*).

KNOWN ISSUES:
- In the US and EU ROMs, voice clips still use the English audio, no matter which language is selected; this is planned to get fixed in a separate patch, but in the meantime, use the JP version.
- "Flying Get" is still displayed as "Fly & Get" in-game.
